These not only save money they also mean you can get name brand goods cheap. Just check that the item can be frozen, and then stock up your freezer with reduced items. They are just as good as the non reduced version, and cost a lot less.
  4. Make a shopping list and stick to it. You will save money if you just buy items on your list. It will also ensure you got what you went out for and don’t end up with items you don’t really need.
  5. You can save money if you use vouchers or use a store card which builds points. These are not only designed to help you save money, but also offer other rewards for shopping with the store. Most store magazines will show you what items are on offer as well as having a section for money off vouchers in the back, these often coincide with recipes that are featured.
  6. Look for the cheapest store in your area to save money, don’t always go to the largest store, shop around and find out which shop actually does the item you want at the cheapest price.
  7. Install energy saving light bulbs. These last a lot longer than normal light bulbs and use less power which will in turn help you save money.
  8. Turn your thermostat down by a couple of degrees. You won’t notice the change while walking around, but you will when the bills come through.
  9. When doing washing, make sure you put in a full load. This will save you power, water and save money, as less washes will be needed.
  10. Set up a direct debit to take the minimum credit card payment from your bank every month. This will stop you forgetting to pay your bills, and make sure you always pay at least the minimum required. This keeps your payback as low as possible, you can always put more into your account, but having a direct debit will make sure you do not get a late payment fee.
